Central to the UK Mail Group’s philosophy is the need to place society’s needs at the heart of its business strategy. For us, this means choosing a charity as a focus for our fundraising, as well as supporting a wide range of educational and recreational initiatives our staff are involved in within their own communities.

Our charity partnerships

Since 2011, UK Mail have chosen to support the NSPCC, one of the UK’s largest children’s charities. To date we have raised £105,000 for the cause, and the money has been donated to the NSPCC’s, ChildLine Schools Service. This service trains volunteers to visit primary schools around the UK, educating children about when they should contact ChildLine about issues such as abuse or bullying.

This money included both donations made by UK Mail and local fundraising activities organised by our employees, such as sky dives, bike rides and half marathons, or smaller fundraisers such as dress down days and cake sales, taking place during working hours.  We also ran an employee payroll lottery scheme; generating £1800 for the charity.

Throughout 2015, we will continue to support the NSPCC.

Other fundraising

Our employees are encouraged to support any registered charity that is close to their hearts and the funds they raised are matched by UK Mail.  Over the year we have donated to causes such as cancer, Alzheimer and children’s charities, medical research, Air Ambulance and The British Heart Foundation.

UK Mail operates a ‘Payroll Giving Scheme,’ allowing all our employees the opportunity to contribute to their preferred charity through monthly tax efficient salary deductions.

We also have a policy of supporting supplier and client charitable fundraising initiatives through donations of monies or gifts.
