Our charity partnerships
Throughout 2013/14, UK Mail chose to support the NSPCC, one of the UK’s largest children’s charities. We raised £82,000 for the cause, and the money has been donated to the NSPCC’s, ChildLine Schools Service. This service trains volunteers to visit primary schools around the UK, educating children about when they should contact ChildLine about issues such as abuse or bullying.
This money included both donations made by UK Mail and local fundraising activities organised by our employees, such as sky dives, bike rides and half marathons, or smaller fundraisers such as dress down days and cake sales, taking place during working hours. We also ran an employee payroll lottery scheme; generating £1800 for the charity.
Throughout 2014/15, we are working in partnership and raising money for both the NSPCC and The Royal British Legion. The Legion has been raising funds and providing care and support to serving members of the Armed Forces, veterans and their families since 1921. We are proud to be supporting them for the year in which they commemorate 100 years since World War 1 began.
Our employees are encouraged to support any registered charity that is close to their hearts and the funds they raised are matched by UK Mail. Over the year we have donated to causes such as cancer, Alzheimer and children’s charities, medical research, Air Ambulance and The British Heart Foundation.
UK Mail operates a ‘Payroll Giving Scheme,’ allowing all our employees the opportunity to contribute to their preferred charity through monthly tax efficient salary deductions.
We also have a policy of supporting supplier and client charitable fundraising initiatives through donations of monies or gifts.
