Central to the UK Mail Group’s philosophy is placing society’s needs at the heart of its business strategy. For us, this means choosing a charity as a focus for our fundraising, as well as supporting a wide range of educational and recreational initiatives our staff are involved in within their own communities.

Our charity partner

Our corporate charity partner for 2015 - 2017 is Age UK. The charity provide support to the fastest growing group in society - the over 60’s. Money raised through employee fundraising will help Age UK work towards their vision of having a world where ‘everyone can love later life’,  as currently more than 1 million older people go a month or longer without speaking to anyone they know. 

The two year partnership with Age UK commenced in September 2015 and the UK Mail Group aim to raise over 100,000 for the charity. Types of fundraising will include: cake sales, cycling trips, knitting and the London Marathon.

Employee sponsorship

To give our employees an extra boost, any fundraising completed by an employee will have their donation matched by the company. This means UK Mail provide support to both their corporate charity partner and to causes which are close to our employees hearts. 

UK Mail also operates a ‘Payroll Giving Scheme’, which provides our employees the opportunity to contribute to charity through monthly tax efficient salary deductions.

Previous charity work

Since the company was establish in 1971, we have worked with a range of charities and are incredibly proud of how much we have raised. In the last few years we have supported the following:

  • 2011-12: Cancer Research UK – Raised over £83,000
  • 2012-15: NSPCC – Raised over £105,000
  • 2014-15: The Royal British Legion – Raised over £19,000
